A repair panel has been fabricated for the right side inner rocker panel. It had been damaged somewhere in its life. The fun of grinding all of the welds begins. The spot welds under the floors have been ground smooth, and now it's time to move on to the next piece. The top of the floor pans are readied for a thick coat of sound deadener. This will double as a future rust protectant. The undercoating in place, we can move on to more sheetmetal pieces. The right side quarter panel is removed, the structure is inspected, and a new right rocker panel is fitted into place to replace the mangled piece that had been there. Once we're happy with the fit of the rocker, it is welded solidly into place. The correct procedure of spot welding sheetmetal to the structure is continued on the rocker panel.
