Above- the body starts to come off the frame.Final checks are done to make sure everything is clear. Pictured below, the body is off of the frame for the first time since the factory bolted it together! She's a looker! The mechanical team is looking forward to making the chassis and driveline like new again. The body guys are already in their half of the shop making dust and noise. Here's a look at the damage caused by the frontal impact. Above is the right inner fender structure. Notice the large dent? When the front was pushed back, the metal behind it had to go somewhere. We will put it back as it was supposed to be. Below is the left side. The panel there is straight. Here is the fiberglass hard top now covered in Gelcoat primer.
