The body tub is covered with plastic. Note the blue inner panels, seat structure, and wheel wells. You'll see a better picture later. Ok, it's 10:00 pm. We've been arguing with the stripe layout kit for a couple of hours. The angles of the stencil just aren't right, but it still has to look perfect. Pedro and Steve keep working at it. Right now, the score is: Football 7, Monkey 0. We'll make it right, though. The stripes finally came to us. Steve started swinging the gun at 11:00 pm, with the last coat of clear at just after 2:00 am. We'll let the booth run for a few hours and get back to work about 5:00 am. Side view in the paint booth. The party is now over. It's time to push it back in the finishing shop and build a car out of it. Check out the GTO in the background. Steve tapes off the painted areas around the floors so we can apply a spray on liner to give the floors a very long life. Here is the trunk after being lined. Note all of the painted areas inside of the car. Even though they will not be seen, they still need to look good and last a long time. The front pan section.
