| 1972 Chevelle SS Convertible Z06 LS6 engine |
Initial pick up of the 1972 Chevelle SS Convertible The Corvette LS6 that needs to be installed properly The Z06 motor is sitting at least 2" too far forward After removing the entire front clip we have realized that the motor is sitting crooked as well We have pulled the motor so we can get the correct engine mounts installed and get it sitting square between the frame rails We have removed all the original wiring, brake booster, evaporator box, steering column, interior, and all the other miscellaneous parts. The Z06 motor is now sitting far enough back to give the owner excellent handling and is centered between the frame rails When we took over the project the oil pan was pressed against the crossmember; now there is adequate clearance.
