1970 Pontiac GTO Convertible
 These quarter panels are garbage and will have to be replaced. Once the hood has been correctly patched and ground smooth, the panel is cleaned again and sprayed with epoxy primer so we can begin to do body work. More holes in the back of the hood simply covered with filler.  This is a nice wad of lead filling the front of the hood.  The decklid was quite a treat with holes completely through the panel.  More lead in the right side door.     NOW HOW ABOUT THAT!!! Someone took the time to drill all of these holes and slide-hammer out the dent. We suppose the replacement fender was far too expensive.    The welding begins. All of these rust holes will have to be cut out and patched correctly (this means with steel, not plastic filler).  The right side door is quite a gem.   |
