1970 Pontiac GTO Convertible

This project came to us painted and in fairly presentable condition. A deeper inspection turned up some hidden filler in multiple places on the vehicle. Follow along as we go through the project and see what we found

This is the poor fit between front bumper and fender. Check out the cracking in the hood. The hood sits over 1/4" above the fender. As we start to grind away the paint, the holes begin to show. Check out how deep the filler is on the quarter panel end. Check out these beauties!! Apparently, fit, finish and rust can all be cured with extensive applications of Bondo! The right quarter has been in a collision (more on this later). When we ground all of the bondo out of the rusted area, the sheetmetal popped outward, exposing a large gap.
