The left side patch is clamped in for welding. The right side is welded in and ground smooth. The left side is welded in, it just needs grinding to be as good as new. Pedro welds in the right side quarter panel patch. Think this job is all glory? Blaze lays on his side in the trunk while welding in the new trunk pan. The new trunk is in place. The body work is complete on the fenders, now it's time for another round of blocking. This will probably have to be done three times due to the color choice on the vehicle (a pearlcoat red). Once blocked, the outside of the fender is taped off and the inside is sprayed with a single stage enamel paint. Dry spots on fresh cars are unacceptable.
