Because of the gap left by deleting the SS door trim, the A-pillars have to be cut and moved down about 3/8" to maintain an appropriate joint.

The marker lights are filled with sheetmetal.

The exhaust cutout is now completed. Note the pinch weld at the bottom. That's going to have to go away too. We'll make an angle channel to maintain structural integrity.

The hood vents are closed in so there won't be any stripe overlap.

The door handle insets are created on the bench, then transferred to the door shell.

The firewall is cut out and patched with thick sheetmetal.

Then the transmission tunnel has to be widened to accomodate the bigger 4L60E bellhousing.
