| 1966 Chevrolet Pickup All original light green with gold interior This truck came to us as seen below. The truck had been sitting in dry storage since 1992. It was billed to us as original, save one repaint. The owner wants to have the truck restored to as-new condition. It will feature the original 250 one-barrel straight six, three on the tree Muncie transmission, and no encumbrances such as air conditioning, radio, or heater. Follow along as we ressurect this beauty! |
This is how we found the truck in storage The engine bay leaves something to be desired. It hasn't run in 15 years. Returning from media blasting, apparently the body leaves something to be desired as well. It has been hit on the right hand side. This is the right rear fender. The previous bad body work did not stop with the cab. This is the left fender. Both fenders, both doors, and both rear fenders exhibited rust in the lower extremities. This will have to be cut out and patches will be welded into place. This is the frame. The truck had been undercoated at the dealership when sold new. This left an 1/4" coating of rubber byproduct over EVERY part under the truck. This will all have to be scraped off prior to restoration. Go to page 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 NEXT PAGE |
